Wednesday, 9:06AM at a daycare center in Madison's south side, we, the young members of society(college students, children of all ages and backgrounds, and adults) united and planted a tree for the victims of the Oklahoma tragedy one week ago. We are did this in response to one child's wish(in front of the President) that all centers across the nation could plant a tree for the victims. Here in the City of Madison we are encouraging young people to promote social change. In fact, just last week the campus and community brought the descendants of Martin Luther King, Cesar E. Chavez, M. K. Gandhi, Nicholas Black Elk and Dick Gregory to unite for the first time ever. We are hope keep in touch and encourage all students at all colleges to become more active for positive societal change. Together we can do anything. Keep in touch. Peace,

To all who have been affected by this tragedy, either directly or indirectly: my heartfelt sympathy to all!
My first thoughts on learning of this were of my own 4 year old daughter and how i would feel if i placed in this situation. My immediate response was to hold her as soon as possible. I can't even begin to imagine how those of you who lost children must feel; but I know that every time I hold and hug her I think of you! God bless you, and may you find strength and peace!!!

-Stephen P. St. Pierre Berkley, MI

-Terry and Beverly Whiteside, Billings, Montana

People of Oklahoma you have our deepest sympathy and our nightly prayers. Let us be strengthened in our resolve to lessen the violence in our society. It begins with violence against the unborn.. the unspeakable crime of abortion. It continues with the steady diet of violent programming for young viewers on our television, is reinforced when we don't allow prayer or Christian love to be taught in our schools and culminates in creating fanatical young men whose only goal is to maim and kill as many as possible.

	    		-Mary Micco

To All.. I wish to offer my deepest sympathy in your time of terrible tragedy.. May God bless all of you and yours...

	    		-Bette

My heartfelt sympathy goes to all citizens of Oklahoma City, and especially to those whose lives have been directly and profoundly changed by the bombing of the federal building. It will take some time to bring order to your lives, but that order eventually will come. It will take some time for you once again to feel a sense of peace in spite of this senseless outrage. I pray that, eventually, you will find peace.

	    		-JoAnna Mink, Mankato, Minnesota

I am communication on my own initiative, but I know what I say is representative of the thinking of the Green Party in Ireland. I serve on the Foreign Affairs Committee. We would like to convey our deepest sympathy to those families hit by this tragedy. In taking political steps towards the avoidance of such events in the future, we would urge consideration of the problems caused not only by widespread ownership of lethal weapons, but also of over-concentration of power in central government. It is worth noting that even at its worst, the situation in Northern Ireland did not generate a death rate any greater than that due to automobile accidents, and always substantially less than the routine death rate from firearms in the US of A. It is difficult not to conclude that mass ownership of firearms is incompatible with civil society and democratic procedures, and that the decentralisation of the power of the Federal Government will only be achieved by democratic political means. After 25 years of the 'armed struggle' the IRA would appear to have come to this conclusion. Is it too much to hope that those who espouse armed resistance to the Federal Government will take on board experience from elsewhere?

	    		-Roy Johnston

To the people of Oklahoma City and to everyone else who has lost loved ones, I know how it feels. I lost my father a year and a half ago. I'm only 18 but I am old enough to know that the pain will never go away. But I do know that it starts to hurt a little bit less over time. You stop focusing on the anger that the person is gone and you start remembering all the good times you shared when that loved one was there. I can't tell you that it will be easy because it won't but I can tell you that with God's help everything will be alright. All you have to remember is that: Although they are no longer down on Earth with you, they are in heaven with god, watching over you and protecting you.

	    		-Aisha Meertins, Hyattsville, Md

We are distressed by the tragic bomb blast in Oklahoma City, killing many children and people and causing physical and psychological injuries to thousands of innocent persons. We are praying that God give courage to bear this suffering and strength to rebuild their lives. Dr. M.A. Shakir MD, President of the Muslim Association in Oklahoma, told me that the Muslim Community has joined other volunteer groups, in helping the rescue and rehabilitation efforts and donated funds. The Muslim doctors have volunteered their services in the Medical Institutions. He said that the Muslims had to bear additional burden of rumors and false accusations that Muslims were involved in the bombing. Thank God the suspect was caught early and the accusations stopped. This tragedy has united all communities and faiths in the common cause of helping each other. We hope that this good spirit will continue and spread. God Bless you.

	    		-DR. S.M. PADSHA

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

	    		-Kathleen Rozmiarek, Plano, Texas

Dear Oklahoma, We are all family, truly. When the lives of our brothers and sisters, sons and daughters are extinguished, the darkness and sorrow seep into every corner of the nation. May you find a way to relight the lights in your community.

-Ms. Amatul H. Hannan Cybersmith employee

At this time, please know that the Lord is with you. You may ask why this happened and I don't know that anyone will ever be able to answer this question. Eventhough the past is looming large in the present right now, be at peace knowing that someday we will all be reunited in a place where tragedies such as this do not occur and no one suffers at all. May the Lord bless you and keep you and grant you peace, understanding and acceptance. I pray that the pleasant memories of those lost will remain forever in your hearts and minds. You are all in my prayers. In His Service,

-Lisa Maddox, 4th Year Medical Student

We would like to send our love and best wishes to everyone who was affected by this terrible tragedy. We would like to suggest that a park be put on the site where the Murrah building stood. It might contain a tree or a flowering plant in honor of each person who lost their life. Those lives can never be replaced but at least the survivors would see life in another form and it might help heal them. We would also like to thank everyone who has been involved in the rescue effort. Sincerely,

-Myron and Rachel Lieberman, Tempe, AZ

GOD BLESS ALL THE FAMILYS AND PEOPLE THAT THIS TERRIBLE DISASTER HAS TOUCHED. GOD BLESS THE CHILDREN.

I can't pretend that I've ever experienced a tragedy comparable to that of the victims and their families in the OklaCity bombing. . . . . I don't know the right words for comfort and consolation. But, every day, I find myself thinking of the victims and their families, and of their sudden and violent loss. . . . . . . My heart reaches out to all of you, and especially to those who have lost family and friends in the bombing. I am a fellow person on this planet, who lives in Minnesota. With love,

Every time I see a segment on the news about loved ones injured, missing, or dead, I can only imagine what sorrow you are going through. The anger and the tears that I feel about this sinceless act of terror is so overwhelming I hope it is all a dream. For those of you who have injured loved ones find comfort that they are alive; for those of you who have dead loved ones find comfort that they are not suffering; and for those who have missing loved ones maintain the hope that they are alive.

I did not realize the full extent of what happened in Oklahoma until today. A very wonderful woman and the Vice President of the University I attend, lost two relatives and at least seven other people she knew. Listening to her talk about it brought tears to my eyes...I can't believe that someone would want to cause this much pain. I am amazed by the faith that my friend and the citizens of Oklahoma City have kept. I can't hug everyone, but I wish I could.

	    		-Chartrice Howell

I am sorry for all of you, and for all of us.

	    		-James Sethian

-Laura Hull and Joel Sacks, Palo Alto, California

To the family and friends of the victims in Oklahoma City, especially to the parents of the children: The life of a fallen loved one is much like a magnificent and majestic ship embarking on a journey across the ocean. When it leaves the port, we find ourselves saying with sadness, "Look, he goes!" and watch the ship until only the tip of its mast can be seen on the horizon, then slowly turn away. But there are those who have gone before who are waiting in another port, with anxious anticipation for the beautiful and majestic life, and when the tip of its mast appears on the horizon, exclaim "Look, he comes!" and welcome it home. Let us honor our dead with our lives of love and service, that their passing will not be in vain. In deepest sympathy,
