There is no way I can express the anger and sorrow I feel for what happened. Only know that you have my sympathy and prayers and that many people in this nation mourn for those who died.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies for all of the people affected directly by the horrible tragedy in Oklahoma City. As a Michigan citizen, it burdens my heart to think that one or more of our citizens may have been involved in this terrible crime, but please know that most Michiganders want to see them brought to swift justice if they did it. My tears especially go to the children that died, and to their families. I will pray for us all tonight.
-Rose Cooper, COOPER@MSU.EDU, Lansing, MI
Heartfelt sympathy to the folks in Oklahoma.
-Nancy Carleo
My dear Oklahoma City survivors,
A deep, dark cloud of sadness has been over me ever since that senseless,
tragic day. I pray for you every day...and night.. I pray that as a
nation we can pray. That we pray there might be a survivor, and if there
is..that there be another...and another...but we also pray that any and
all horrible realities can be faced and be mend. We pray for the
fatherless child. We pray for the motherless child. We pray for the
childless father. We pray for the childless mother. We pray for the now
lonely friend of a victim. We pray for the now lonely office worker
without an office. We pray for the traumatized worker of a nearby
building. We pray for the saddened and angry resident of Oklahoma City.
We pray for the state of Oklahoma. We pray for the the United States of
America. We pray for the world. We pray....we pray. We pray that all
whom are suffering be healed. We pray that from this rises a new
nation...a new world....that respects its people, its leaders, and
its freedoms. We pray that this nation may work together instead of
apart. May this nation, and the world, learn from the unity and work
that the City has performed while staring in the face of an undeserved
hell. May we pray. May we learn. All my love and prayer,
-Alan Herman
My thoughts and compassion are with you daily. I pray for your health, strength, and peace.

Dear ones,
In this terrible disaster we reach out to you. I was reared in Oklahoma,
100 miles north of "The City," and to travel there was high adventure--it
was big time, it was Broadway. Now the mask of tragedy appears.
For you to suffer so because sick and twisted minds decreed it for their
selfish, futile ends is beyond comprehension. What happened in their
childhoods, what prejudiced views clouded their daily lives? A more
important question to ask and answer now, while the pain is fierce--how
can we minister to the children of today and tomorrow to help them grow
strong and beautiful in mind?
May we all seek the answers and act upon them. We must become one
family--a loving, giving, peaceful family. Sincerely,
-Allene Rollier Niehaus
Words cannot express the horror we feel for what has happened. I must express heartfelt sympathy for the victims and their families, and great admiration for the resue workers.
-Mike Tombs

Though we can never know the depth of your pain, we try to share it so that you can bear it. And while the tragedy may not be in our family, our family is nonetheless diminished. We pray that you may find faith in God, love from your fellow man, and hope that there is somehow some meaning in this senseless and selfish act.All our love,

I'm an Okie here in North Dakota a few more weeks before I get to come home. Several old friends are on the lists of wounded and missing who worked in the building or around it. There are no words . . . . . . Hold on to our Creator and Savior, hold on to hope, hold on to each other. Don't let go. My hopes, faith, prayers, and love go with those who were hurt and the families of those who are missing or gone. Your relatives in Christ Jesus --

I pray we can forgive those involved, though it will be hard for all, and let the justice of God reign over everything. We love you and are praying for you. God Bless you all!
-Rick Kaisner
To the People of Oklahoma City,
My prayers have been with you for this past week as I have contemplated the
terrible act you have suffered. Many times I have been driven to tears by your
loss. Mostly I have cried for the children. My own are four and two and I have
not hugged them more tightly than when I first saw them after hearing your
terrible news.
If there is any consolation to be found, for Christians it is in the
Resurrection, which we so recently commemorated. I also am reminded of the
words of my nominee for person of the millennium, Mohandas K. Gandhi:
"When I despair, I remember that all through history, the way of truth and love has always won.
There may be tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem to prosper, but in the end, they
always fall. Think of this always."
May God bring Peace to your City and to your souls,
-Richard Hudak, Melrose, MA
The loss of human life at any age is tragic, but it is
especially awful to see children suffer and perish.
No punishment could possibly fit this crime. Swift justice,
if nothing else, can only serve as a milestone from which to
begin the healing.
Everyone feels the sadness and grief - - our thoughts are
with you.
-Dave Murphy
..we wish you the best . Our ddepest sympathy to all the people who l lost friends and loved ones. My prayer for you is that in the days to come, may the pain and sorrow be replaced by strength and happinesss.

While riding a commuter train the other day between Atlantic City and Philadelphia a neat thing happened. It was like 3:30 in the afternoon of the day the composites were released......when the train was pulling out of Atlantic City, the conductor announced over the P.A. system something like, "In case anyone has not heard, they have 2 people in custody, for the bombing in Oklahoma." Well, the whole train broke into spontaneous applause !!! (even if the particulars were not exact).....
-Earl Driscoll
My heart and prayers go out to the many that have been affected by this warped event. I've watched the news reports and read the internet reports, the whole time wondering, how could someone plot and carry out such a deed. Thank you to the many people that have helped!

Our sympathy and love for all of the victims and their families. Godspeed.

We are university employees, at Florida State University, Florida Resources and Enivronmental Analysis Center in Tallahassee, FL. Our building is located adjacent to a beautiful green golf course. Today it is in the 70s, white long-necked birds, golf balls and gentle breezes flow across blue skies. All seems right. But throughout our blue sky days--we think of you, you who we do not know--but you who any of us could be-- and try to share your grief. A grief no human could conceive of. If we could only take that grief, make it a bird, a ball or a breeze and let it flow away into the bright blue skies of Florida--Oklahoma City has had enough grief for all the blue skies past and to come. As fellow humans we cry out with you and for you-- From Florida--you are in our hearts, and our grief struggles with yours-- upward toward a brighter blue sky.

Heartfelt tears
Are shared by a nation
In support of our wounded heartland.
The bomb cannot destroy
that proud strong beat of the heartland.
But all those wonderful children and sturdy citizens
in twisted rubble.
Makes me wonder what possible reason could there be?
For men to cause such pain on innocents.
-Pete Farr Whidbey Island, Washington
To all of the families and friends who have been victimized by this horrendous event...you are not forgotten, you are not alone. You and your loved ones reside in our hearts and are in our thoughts and prayers constantly. Love, caring, humanity, and peace are still in control of this great nation. We can not and will not let a few radicals destroy our strength and concern. With love,
-Polly Bennett Wissing Fort Collins, Colorado
You were the land of my childhood,
and I know what it is like
to watch the wind whip the red dirt
on a summer's afternoon,
in this city of hills
and homes
and warm hearts.
Now red dirt is reddened
with the blood of the innocent
and the tears of the bereft,
and the aching evil guilt
of men who build
an unreal reality
that can slaughter children
for the idealistic nightmare
they call their philosophy.
I offer you the flowers of
my heart,
the tears of my eyes,
the prayers of my spirit.
May justice be done,
and anger find its way
far away from your heart.
-Wanda Evans
May God bless those who are involved and those whom this tradgedy affected and punish those who committed this attack on this great state. Now we must stand together as a state and a nation to grow stronger and to get through this.
